Everyone freaked out when Cap died after Civil War. Everyone freaked out when Doc Ock possessed Spidey’s body. Everyone freaked out when the Inhumans were given an ongoing title (because oh my god, what about the X-Men). Everyone freaked out when Secret Wars destroyed the multiverse.

If the rabid fans haven’t calmed down about any of these things the past decade, why would they calm down about Cap “always having been” Hydra.
