That's comeplete bullshit, because Monica lead the Avengers team and was a part of some pretty big events. Marvel failed to support her and turned her into a joke with Nextwave. Carol has been getting a MASSIVE push that many characters never get. Guess it's easier for white women to get shots then any other minority group.

I think you’ll find over Marvel’s history that Marvel tends to support what works. Marvel supported Monica as Captain Marvel for more than a decade, at the end of which time she wasn’t especially prominent or popular as a character. Then, somebody tried something different with the name. NextWave didn’t come along until another 15 years after that (and probably did more to restore her popularity than any other project) so I don’t think you can really connect those dots in that manner.

Yeah but a ten year lifespan that came out before social media online is only like 3 months with today’s short-term memory.
